Why the 3 minute gap?

Why is there a full 3 minute gap between 27 minute tournaments?
If there is no real reason, there should be a poll. Do you want the gap?

I really want to continue playing and I have to wait for those huge 3 minutes.

I really feel sorry for you... 3 minutes is such a great deal of time..there's absolutely nothing you can do to fill in the time is there...

@InvalidityComplex I only play bullet, which is high paced. There is a lot of adrenaline rush, lot of mistakes to be made , and a huge deal in a small time. Ask anybody who plays bullet, the rush they get. So 3 minute is huge, especially if you were playing hyper or ultrbullet.

No offence but you have not played bullet, so you might not know.

Why not to play two bullet casual/or even rated games (1+0)?

Go to lichess.org and click the big [1+0] button. Best way to kill a couple minutes.

@thibault Stoked that you answered my question. I do that itself. The question is why the gap? Not what to do in that gap!!!

@vedantkarandikar One reason I imagine is so the last tournament game doesn't overlap the first game of your next tournament.

BTW when are you uploading?? Long time!!

@vedantkarandikar if its 2 minutes gap, it would still take u time to join the new tourney and by then you might have missed it already.

3 minutes is just enough time to smoke a cigarette.
