Non-Castling Chess

I've thought of a great idea for a chess variant: Non-Castling Chess. Players agree beforehand that neither side is allowed to castle.
You can go to the board editor, disable castling rights, and play from position. Alternatively, you could create an agreement with a buddy to make the first few moves of a casual game as follows: 1.Nf3 Nf6 2.Nc3 Nc6 3.Rg1 Rg8 4.Rb1 Rb8 5.Rh1 Rh8 6.Ra1 Ra8 7.Ng1 Ng8 8.Nb1 Nb8.

But the first suggestion is easier.
Relatedly, Non-Prise-En-Passant Chess sounds full of potential.

@Jacob531 Depending on your buddies, maybe you can trust them to follow the unenforced rule "do not castle". Loses less time on the clock and doesn't mess with the analysis.
Yeah. Either way, the game should probably be unrated.
Yes, setting up the initial position without castling rights also allows you to play it against an engine!
