Magnus Carlsen Alleged to Have Cheated on Lichess

I'm a big fan of Magnus Carlsen so it saddens me to say that I've seen a video clip of him appearing to cheat on Lichess during the Titled Arena December 2021.

Is this clip legit? Please tell me this is not really happening.

I thought it was during the official Lichess Titled Arena Dec 2021 cash prize tournament but If you say it was BSG why not play the other move he was thinking of not the one given to him? Either way maybe he shouldn't play the move given to him.

then what, resign? And in fact blame David for butting in?

Also he used an extra account for this. Lichess maybe knew he had an audience that could eventually chip in ...

Yes this is what I thought too. But Magnus does ask "how?" with his mouse about to move the c3 knight and then changes it after to Nd3. Maybe he was going to see that and play it without the help which he never asked for.

Anyway seems Lichess do know about this and have filed it under not interested, minor, unsolicited assistance.

this setting really rminded me of chessclub behaviour afterhours. You are sitting with f.i. a group of 5 players, winner stay seated 2 are playing and all are drinking.
One of the players next to the board is shouting a move. What to do... (there is even an over 50% chance it is not the best move. )

You wanted to play the move now you can not play it because it is shouted.
You are looking for a different move but they are all significant worse than the move shouted. should you play the move?

And all the time is your clock ticking.
