Kathmandu International Open GM Chess Tournament

My games on the nine round swiss system tournament are or will be at the study at lichess.org/study/yJUqEM4X
The official website is at http://kathmanduopenchess.blogspot.com/
The first round was a walk in a park against a player playing in tournaments for the first time. I myself feel like I'm playing tournament chess for the first time. I played my seventeenth and last FIDE rated tournament more than three years ago. At that time I hadn't been to China and run marathons, was still single and not yet a father. I have also been playing some antichess lately and I'm afraid it may affect my chess in a bad way.
No one interested in my games. :(
I've been having a pathetic tournament. On the third day today, in the fifth and sixth rounds, I drew against an unrated player and then lost to a 1203 rated player. :(
My tournament is over. Please feel free to browse through all nine games.
Round 6 was probably your worst loss. Minus that game though I'd say you did pretty well in your games considering you haven't played an OTB tournament in 3 years. I'm curious though, is your rating higher or lower than when you entered now?
I lost 17 rating points. At least I will have an active rating for a year or two now.
I played rated players in rounds 2, 4, 6, 7, and 9. The opponents in rounds 2 and 4 were higher rated than me. I had White in odd numbered rounds and Black in even numbered rounds. I scored 4.5/5 with White and 0.5/4 with Black. My opponents were stronger when I had Black games. I never had the same result in two consecutive rounds. WLWLDLWDW were the nine results in my nine games. Please browse through the games.
In game one, I won quite easily with White.
In game two, against my highest rated opponent, I blundered near the end of the opening and had to resign in 16 moves.
In game three, I won against an unrated opponent when I had a time scare going down to 9 minutes with 23 moves played in the 90+30 game. My opponent let me mate him rather than fighting with a piece down.
In game four again I made a quick opening mistake, recovered after my opponent blundered, petered out the advantage to a drawn endgame and then lost the ending in time pressure.
In game five I let my advantage peter out with my only failure to win as white against the young unrated player. In the end there was a threefold repitition.
In game six, I embarrasingly lost to a 1203 rated player who played well. I bludered a piece in the opening after a mistake on move 4 but still reached a position where only I had winning chances until blundering again to lose.
In game seven, I won against a lower rated player with White.
In game eight, I held a strong unrated player to a draw with Black in the Gruenfeld defence main line.
In game nine, I finally won against a foreigner after losing to foreigners in round 2 and 6. In the game, I just made one mistake where my opponent could have drawn the game but managed to win in the end and end with +1 after nine rounds.
Thanks. Will go through the entire study
