Candidates scoring -- very confused

Ding in round 7 has a score of 1/2 1/2 for a full point. Caruana today has a score of 1 1/2. I read through the FIDE Candidates rules and can find nothing about how one gets 1.5 points in a game. Help :)
Those are two separate games against the same opponent.
Okay... Some rounds have one game and some have two?
Each player plays each other player twice. Rounds 1 through 7 were each against a different opponent. Round 8 through 14 are against the same opponents, with colors reversed.
That's player 5, not round 5. He's scored 1½ against Karjakin.
No, you cannot score 1 1/2, nor 1/2 1/2 points in a single round. There is a column missing in that table. If you see, we have nine rounds but just 8 columns. So that, for each player, two column were collapsed into one. That's the failure.
No, there are 8 players and it is a double round robin. Hence 2x7=14 rounds.
