Because it doesn’t allow you to think, instead it makes you play random moves.
About ultrabullet just being a time game, when playing against good ultrabullet players I play en entire game most of the time. For me it is mainly a quick pattern recognition/ quick calculating game. A good ultrabullet pretty much always makes it to the endgame.

Ultrabullet is great, but some people dont take it seriously and just keep on premoving randomly until they get checkmated.

Yes even though it isn't really chess its very fun to play and the feeling of when you play a hourly ultrabullet tournament is awesome.
