What is the button for?

Thanks for reply. Yes, there are but it's difficult to find them.

Wouldn't it be easier to completely delete it from the platform? as happens in others?

looks like all your opponents are not so 'kind' to give you a free takeback ;-;

Believe me, i didn't thought it was so bad not to know a person. Do you Know Bonucci?

For me, at least 30% of my opponents accept takebacks and according to my opinion even if a small percentage benefits from it its good not to remove
It's deeply wrong to assume that a person knows everything about a given subject.

I'm learning brick by brick how to build a house.
Even Rome wasn't built in a day.

Be less arrogant and a little more humble, please

Yes he can be him, or maybe i was talking about Riccardo Bonucci, Chess teacher. Maybe.

Anyway, I'll do my homework and get to know this guy, who I guess is very good at playing chess.
Thanks anyway for the tip.

That is why you can turn it off so in your matches it won't exist.
Your opponent is more likely to accept your takeback request if your move is an obvious mouse-slip. If you are playing strongly and then move your queen in front of a piece that can capture it when one square further is a very obvious move you would make, or say instead of castling your king moves one square and it is a bad move, your opponent will believe its a mouseslip and may grant your request. However this is unlikely to happen if :
1) you are playing a fast time control
2) you are playing a rated game
3) you are playing in a tournament
4) it definitely won't happen if your opponent turned off the takeback option on the settings panel. They won't even see your request.

If I make a mouse slip in a casual game and ask for a takeback about half the time or a little less my opponent accepts my request.

cheers

> That is exactly why I turned it off. Moves shouldn't be taken back., unless for an obvious mouse-slip. Even then, it's not your opponent's fault so they can decline. You can do the same here if you like: lichess.org/account/preferences/game-behavior.

My feelings exactly. If you move your king over one space when it's obvious you meant to castle, I have no problem allowing a takeback. Similarly, if you move your queen directly in front of my rook when it's obvious you meant to move it to a different square, again, I have no problem with a takeback. But if you simply failed to notice a fork or some other tactic, then I'm not giving it to you. I rarely, if ever, ask for a takeback unless it's under the aforementioned circumstances.
