Lasker your number one GM or was that just a coincidence that he was there? How do you think he would have done against Rubinstein in 1914 if World War One hadn't have interfered?

Lasker won an epic game vs Capablanca (Ruy Lopez Exchange) in that year 1914 but if I was to guess Rubenstein vs Lasker I would say in 1914 a Drawn match very possible . Lasker Rubenstein & all that are mentioned are favorites of mine & you will find a few non-champions . Adding older ones ... Pillsbury died Young ... Steintz Morphy & Phillidor played well of course
