Is there an online platform that is like a real chessboard in that two people in different locations can each add, remove, or move any of the pieces on the board to any square irrespective of the rules? This would be immensely useful for teaching online.
Perhaps a future feature of lichess?
I would want this as well.
Sure. FICS has this with examine and bsetup mode.
I'd love to see this as well.
Thibault, I'd be happy to beta test such a feature if you ever implement it. I teach chess online full-time and know what makes a good analysis board.
This is probably the most often requested feature on these forums. Hope it comes here.
Thibalt...make it so!
(All kidding aside, this would be awesome, and certainly is the most requested feature.)
Thibalt? lol *thibault
This would be a feature that would certainly attract higher rated players who want to offer lessons to willing users.
It'll also add a shiny new feature that people can talk about when they're oh so casually chatting about the world's best website XD
+1. the interface is very aesthetic and this would be a fantastic feature.

How hard could this be to implement? The analysis board already saves every line played. Just allow two users to edit a board simultaneously.
I wouldn't mind watching people teach chess using this feature. I definitely would like to get better at it, and his would be helpful.
