Suggestion: Give a timer to "Player left the game"

My internet went down for about 5 seconds, in a 15+0 game, and my opponent claimed a win in an unclear [in which the computer gives me a 2 pawn advantage] position.

I think it wouldnt be unreasonable to add, say, a 1 minute timer before a player times out and the game can be forfeited.

The wifi at my university is shaky at best, and there are often these tiny 10 second interruptions in signal, and I've lost quite a few games this way. Perhaps a small time window to reconnect would be helpful for more than just me.

Your suggestion would usually be a good idea but the problem is sometimes it's obvious the opponent intentionally disconnects because he just got lost game. With your idea people would have to waste one minute of their lives because an inconsiderate opponent abandoned the game instead of resigning. Anyway good luck with your request.

I'm glad I have a very dependable and very fast cable internet from Comcast.
