I'm the new guy and I'm having some connection problems lately so I was wondering is there any kind of support for the players with the bad internet?

Correspondence games, or games vs stockfish, I guess. If you keep getting disconnected or have a very slow speed it's hard to see how that can be compensated for.
Lag is partially compensated for. See

My internet speed is very good. The problem is that sometimes it disconnects so I'm having a hard time to reconnect during the gameplay. It's a problem because my opponent might think that I stall the gameplay which is not true - I just can not reconnect.
Luckily I think I solve the problem.

Every time as soon as I hit 5 + 3 my phone gets disconnected before being able to start the game. Time out gets longer each time. Now seven hours. Very frustrating! At the same time I can watch games on ICC without being disconnected.
Even writing this reply gets interrupted frequently for long periods. More off than on it seems.
same problem here... the old version was must better
