not very friendly

I've noticed that the players on lichess are not very friendly. No one says good game and they don't want to chat at all. Even after a game, win or lose, people just don't say anything. Too bad. IMO.
This isn't a social media platform for human interaction for most people. It's just a place to play chess.

I have also experienced the same thing, but maybe your opponent just has chat disabled, if they don't want to chat doesn't mean they aren't friendly. It's like I won't really talk to a random stranger on a bus or subway
When players chat while I play a game I often get distracted and annoyed, and I would guess it is very similar for many other players, especially when you are in a deep thinking.

Now saying good luck or good game does show good sportmanship and friendliness, but most players tend to leave the second a game finishes, so they can start a new one.

I personally believe that saying good luck or have fun in the beginning also doesn't do much because those messages don't really matter and can be distracting for some players.

It is online chess, games tend to be very quick and people will play several games a day, so saying good luck or have fun might not be meaningful or might not matter, but idk, idc.
Many have their chat disabled as a sort of firewall against those aggressive types with a few screws loose who do tend to pop up now and then.
