Disgusting lag

Hello fellow Lichess players i am experiencing disgusting LAG my Ping is over 900+ and i pre moved against a low rated player in an ultra bullet game and lost over 7.2 seconds and i loot to a complete noob 0-4 called chessoholic does anyone know how to fix my ping and get it below 100?

Not sure what answer you are expecting. Get better internet... I rarely have more than 1/100 s lag.
Alternatively if you can't get better internet don't play hyperbullet. ;)
There is some lag compensation however it's capped at some value depending on the time control. (because it would be annoying to play hyperbullet and then play 5 minute games because of lag every turn)

lichess has no problem with its servers. The issue is your internet. lichess already offers lag compensation but it has limits so as not to inconvenience other players. The only advice there is to give you is to either get better WiFi or play much longer time controls, because 900+ms ping is abysmal.

Also, it seems rather evident that you are only making this post because you lost and got upset. Why you would choose to play hyperbullet if your internet is truthfully so terrible I am not sure, but insulting your opponent and calling him out by name is massively unsportsmanlike and serves no one.

@Asym you are 100% wrong i am making this post cause of the internet problems i am suffering today on this site and only this site, it was okay before just today extremely bad ping.

To say i made this thread just because i lost is a joke i am calling him out as he was disrespectful towards me in our games that we had and i am just showing him the same respect he showed me and what you are doing making accusations about something you know nothing about is beyond deplorable considering i am trying to fix the issue which has now resolved itself somewhat as i am now back to 230+ ping.....

I guess it would be interesting to know what your ping times are for lichess.org/lag versus other sites. Maybe your ISP is throttling you (unless many people have the same lag issue).

@Chessy64 I am saying that ping and server latency are different values. Ping is at your end. If your ping is bad, then that is your issue, not lichess, especially considering that lichess is optimized to be faster than pretty much any other site anyways.

If someone is disrespectful to you in chat, you can report them to a moderator privately. There is no need to call someone out on a forum. That just puts both of you in a negative light.
