Rating limit for tournaments

I want to join a U1500 tournament, but I just can't. My rate used to be above it, but lately, I'm not playing well and it is under 1500. Why can't I join?

IIRC you have to be under 1500 for a week to able to join those tournaments. It's to avoid sandbaggers.

I think you just have to be not over 1500 in a week. New accounts can participate on the day they were created if they fulfill the other criteria.
