"Reconnecting" - we need a logging tool

#18 Linux & FireFox have nothing to do with it. I've been using that combo for years without issues. The reconnection problems are a recent phenomenon quite specific to lichess. As for the brain cramped people who blather "lots of people are using it without problems" - A. You don't know that. Has a survey been conducted?, and B. How many people are experiencing these problems and don't speak up? I'm willing to bet there are many who think disconnects are the cost of doing business. Which of course isn't true because other chess servers have had excellent uptime.
Maybe installing add-ons in messing with your internet connection?

They don't seem to be giving you any helpful information. LiChess.org always connects to a server in France.

Yes, but none of the Lichess staff have been able to reproduce these issues, ever. So there's some other factors too.
Also, who knows whether it's actually specific to Lichess. As far as I can tell, only a fraction of a fraction of users have any issues and most of it seems to be caused by server restarts and people not reloading their pages. There's a good chance an equally small amount of people on any other given site have similar seemingly random issues caused by some quirks or rare and undetectable bugs at some point in the system or connection.

Maybe Lichess could try to improve the handling of games during restarts a bit but it's already pretty incredible that it manages to keep the vast majority of games running through restarts.

And for all the people saying Lichess needs to acknowledge messages and resend them if that doesn't happen, this is already happening, in addition to what TCP should already be doing anyway.
The reconnect issue only happens on my end when using WiFi instead of Ethernet.

Firefox or Chrome under Linux have no problems when connected by wire.

Connecting to a repeater causes the message to appear several times per minute.
I concur that the Lichess app should have logging facilities for troubleshooting purposes.
@aaean That's good feedback.

Lots of routers have the ability to transmit on different channels. If one is receiving interference you can try a different channel.

Maybe it's possible for you to relocate your router closer to your computer? That's another way to reduce the interference problem.

Almost most routers have the ability to transmit on different bands. Usually the higher the frequency of the band the less likely interference is.
@StingerPuzzles - The funny part is that when I connect to the wifi router, which is further away, the disconnects are far less frequent; almost full games playable.
