No problem, you can always ask. Everyone can create a team forum. I'm not a lichess moderator, the championship isn't organised or sponsored by the lichess moderators team (there are no prizes), and even though I have been an arbiter at offline tournaments as well, I don't think there's such a thing as an official lichess arbiter. I just organise the tournament and try to fix problems when they happen (most often in the first two weeks).

I simply just started the team, forum, and unofficial championship in 2018 because bots can't participate in official lichess tournaments. I encourage others to create bot tournaments as well (a lot of the organisational stuff can be copied from this forum), but as far as I know this is still the only one on lichess. Luckily, each time some of the best bots on lichess have participated in the tournament (I really appreciate all of the participants), which does make it feel like a championship (the double elimination bracket also helps). I want to promote lichess bots, I think it's fun to participate in this tournament (even when you aren't one of the strongest bots on lichess), and I like watching the games of this tournament (there have been some really great games in the 1st and 2nd Lichess Bots Championship). I hope all of you will enjoy the tournament as well!
