is promoting all of your extra pawns to knights good sportsmanship in tournaments?

So i went to a chess tournament representing in my school, won 6 games out of 7. But in one of my games i promoted my extra pawns to horses just for the torture and stuff but i just want to know if its like okay to do that...
No, it is not. It is extremely disrespectful to do that. If you do that, you'll look like a complete and utter ass -- but if you're fine with that, go ahead.
I think it is completely acceptable to do so, since the opponent is already being disrespectful by playing on in a dead lost position.
You're opponent can always resign, and you may always produce a stalemate. No disrespect at all.
If somebody did that to me (online ir ITB) I would be very annoyed. However, if they did that and then stalemated me, I'm not sure I could stop myself from laughing, even if they were sitting across from me.
If someone wants to waste your time by continuing an obviously lost game - meanwhile wasting his/her time too, ridiculous how self-harming sadism can be - then why should you show respect... but at the same time the longer you make the ending, the more you act like your opponent, ie. it's not maybe in your best interest and you could have better use for that time, eg. relaxing for the next game.
I don't see any problem with this. Depending on my mood I go either for the quickest possible mate, or trying to create study like mate positions. The opponent's free to resign at any point if they don't want to take part in your art.
The real disrespect is to keep playing in dead lost positions. It's just a waste of time for both parts, so if you do that at least you will have a little bit of fun
I mean everyone is entitled to make a fool out of himself. Call it acting out, personal note - but keep in mind that you might look like an untalented amateurish clown for the audience. Lacking the red nose.
