Reduction of Lag Compensation limit

I've read a lot of posts about this issue and if I'm not wrong, lag compensation limit is set somewhere near 250ms.
This may be fine to blitz or even 1 minute games but anything lower than that, (1/2 & 1/4 games) are totally destroyed by the magnitude of the compensation.

It's notable that recently too many laggers swarm these games due to the extreme advantage they get against players with decent connections. I should add that lately several of my opponents showed selective lagging during a game and even though I immediately reported them, I doubt Lichess has the means to prove foul play.

The problem is not rating points or about winning.
Players who choose these time controls seek something fun and gambly and with the current limit of 250ms, the fun is totally deducted from those games. Each move seems to last forever, not to mention that the piece moving ability of the non-lagger is affected.

Please consider reducing the hard limit for really fast games like 1/2 to a higher standard of connection like 80ms-100ms.
Thank you.-

I do think reducing lag compensation only for hyperbullet is logical.

That being said, you know what's even more logical? Never playing hyperbullet in the first place! :-P
Such lag compensation is a strange idea from the very beginning. At least, it makes games fundamentally unfair. Also, it may increase (and never decrease) cheating.

Of course, decreasing its value (for now, in 1-minute games it may be 250ms * 40 moves = 10 seconds which is obviously too much) is better than nothing, but not enough, i would say only zero lag compensation is possible. The first message from that github thread is possible alternative, when pairing lagging one with another.

Also, i don't get why only lag compensation is enabled, when it is possible to include slow pc compensation (on my old pc it was much more compared to lag), finally, "bad day compensation", like give an extra pawn to someone for every 5 consecutive losses.

When any compensation is started, there is no logical point when it should be stopped.
Or Just increase the lag compensation and let the website be as it should have always been Lagchess . org

I would also like to add:
The feeling when losing to a lagger at the last few seconds while having an army of excess material, is very similar to gettting mugged in a dark alley.
