Knockout tournaments, in my opinion, would bring a lot more "pizzazz" to lichess.

Requested / asked for swiss tournaments (like many others) already, but got no response.
Knockout and swiss tournaments would be a great asset.
There was a beta of swiss tournaments. But it didn't really work in open tournaments so they took it off again. I am wondering why they don't give it as an option for private tournaments.
But there are other things I'd like to see much more like time-handicap games.
@Dolg The beta was years ago, when lichess was much more confidential :) I remember even arena tournaments had troubles to have a lot of players in it. Today it would not be the same.

It doesn't even matter how popular it would be. It's a basic feature of a chess website to have swiss tournaments. It's crazy it's not even an option in custom tournaments.
