Muhammad Ali vs Magnus Carlsen

I imagine Magnus would lose 2000 elo and quite a few brain cells after this bout
The thing is Ali liked chess so I think he would have wanted a good game and probably wouldn't have gone for the KO in round 1. He's only do so once he realised his position was lost - so Carlsen would have a short window of opportunity in each round of chess to finish him off.
In chess Magnus, in boxing when Muhammed was 30 Muhammad
Ali would probably get advantage in chess but I think Magnus would knock him out in the end. Also depends on if Carlsen would be allowed to use the GloveFish.
And a PUNCH in the gut... Carlsen DROPS! He doesn't have enough energy to play the game
@jezzat I read a couple of biographies on Ali and don't remember reading anything about him being a chess player - do you have a source? I'd love to read about it.

In any case, the only time I can think of where Ali carried a fight was against Ernie Terrell, and that was just out of spite and was absolutely viscious in intent and in its execution.

For those who don't know, Ernie Terrell famously insisted on calling Muhammad Ali 'Cassius Clay' during the pre-fight conference and Ali got pissed. He retorted by calling Terrell an 'Uncle Tom' and said if he didn't call him by Muhammad Ali right then and there, he'd make him say it in the middle of the ring.

During the fight, Ali refused to put Terrell out of his misery and just kept on inflicting enough damage to hurt Terrell, but not enough to put him out of his misery with a knockout. Ali kept on taunting him in between punches, asking him, "What's my name? What's my name?"

Ali was unconventional and flamboyant, but other than this one instance he didn't really carry fights and I think he would recognize that a second chess round against Carlsen would probably be his doom if Magnus was even half conscious.
@chummer

Only thing I could find immediately was this video of a very old Ali playing against Mike Tyson (and beating him) but I'm sure I've read somewhere that he was a reasonable amateur player in his day and thought it helped his boxing by making him think tactically.

Magnus would win in boxing but in chess Muhammad would win :)
