960 Bullet/Blitz/(Rapid) Ratings and Rapid 960 Tournaments

Dear Chess addicts and Lichess lovers,

maybe there has been a similar suggestion in post, but i ve missed it, if so, apologies first.

960 chess is getting more and more popular.

I wanted to suggest if it is in the future possible to separate 960 ratings further into bullet & blitz. Because, some people play 960 mainly with 30secs and some with mainly 3+2 format. They might end up having same rating, lets say 2300, but it is very deceptive of their strength in other time formats. This in my opinion creates general imbalance and unreliability in 960 ratings, because some will be heavily overrated and some underrated, for example when they both play in 3+2 960 Shield Arena etc. I know a very detailed separation could be technically hard to achieve. But maybe a simple categorisation of 960 in bullet (from 15 sec to 2 mins etc.) and blitz (anything above 3 min, even rapid time controls etc.) would be great for the rating system, if this is technically possible.

Id be very happy to hear about it from Lichess, regardless of the decision :)

Also, it would be great if there could be 960 Tournaments in 10+2 format, at least once in a month. Maybe there is, but i vent seen it so far.. 10+2 is the time control of Fischer Random World Championship in 2019, and since it is very likely that there will be another World Championship of 960, it would be great to be able to practice it in the same time control.

Let me guys hear, what you think about both subjects. Thanks!!

Cheers

I always thought on this, seriously. 960 should separate ratings as playing blitz can spoil my good streak but I'm more of a Rapid guy, and I don't want my rating to be spoiled because all time controls count the same in variants, I like the idea of 10+2, just a Rapid game with the perfect increment not to make the game too long and it will be harder to flag.
