Engine analysis question

This is one of my recent games.

The analysis point to move 27 (Qxd8+) for white being a blunder and suggests the alternate 27 Qf6+. I don't see any advantages in the alternate since king gets to the safety of the pawns. Can someone please elaborate the reasoning behind the engine suggestion?
Basically you have a huge attack coming after that with d6! and Re7 in the works (d6 is both to break up the pawn structure on the queenside and to let you play Re7 without hanging d5).

With a huge initiative against the king, it's generally preferable to have queens involved, hence not trading them.

Having said that, of course both Qxd7+ and Qf6+ are completely winning.

It's just that Qxd7+ has an evaluation just low enough at typical analysis depths that it's not over the "mistakes are now ignored" threshold of +10, so you still get that marked.

d6 works brilliantly. I didn't realize the knight's support thinking it would hang. Thanks!
The differences between human and silicon are highlighted here. If human can't see the whole attack, but sees an alternate win.. human takes alternate win. There is nothing wrong with taking a sure thing and trading down to the winning ending. My 2 cents.

If you see a win and you are sure its winning play it. If its close look for a better alternative. Don't try and be an engine every move yourself it only hurts.

There is about a 10 percent chance I would play Qf6+ there however due to advanced principles of chess Qf6 is very logical.
The reason its logical is that the black king is unsafe and the white king is very safe. Black is under attack and white is not therefore it makes "sense" to keep the queens on. However... both moves are completely winning. Id pick whatever requires less effort to convert. And id trade queens most likely. Its a position you can analyse forever and figure out what one is objectively and practically best. As long as you don't lose or draw when your winning your alright.

Hope that helps.
I'm smitten with the idea of an elegant/easier win right now. So, while both are winning, I'd go for Qf6+. The flip side is that there is no play there and I lose on time. Feels like the puzzles, you're almost there but not yet. Hahahah
