Can you win a queen vs rook endgame?

In my opinion, this is the underestimated point which distinguishes human and machine: the voluntary separation which is hard to break. Crucial for attack and defense.

All in all, the win seems to follow no rules. So, get over it! :)

The basic defensive idea isn't that hard: keep your king on the center files and the rook on the third rank on the opposite side to the queen. The only differences are how hard it is to break (forcing the rook into the second-rank defense and keeping it there), and that the computer will never hang the rook.
Just played between the two strongest blitz players in the world:

85. Qa1 and 86.Qa2 would have been a bit quicker, yet typical.

Lol I tought this is easy after 6. moves and fell to the oldest trick.
Took me a couple of tries and a few takebacks, but here it is:
Addon to #24:

Notice how Magnus restricts him with 67.Qg5 and 68.Qg4 and 74.Qh4. Typical manoevre.

Notice how he puts his queen in a way that he can bring his king closer without being hampered by checks from behind: 70.Qf6! allows 71.Ke2 (with the option Ke1) and 78.Qh4! allows 79.Kf3. This is also typical, the Queen prepares the King move.

After 79.Rg2 he constructs the same position – after 83.Qh4! – but with black to move, which is the Philidor position. The rook gets lost because of Zugzwang.

The queen manoevre starting with 86.Qe1+ is also typical. Black can not escape to h3 because of the mate on h-file, which is also why he can not play the rook to g1. And the rook can not go to g2 because of the white king.
