Blank board with no pieces

I'm constantly getting a blank board with no pieces and yet I get warned for aborting the game time and time again. How can I play with NO pieces???

Piece does not move. Mind moves.

I think you may be playing in blindfold mode. To switch it off, go to preferances, scroll right to the bottom and switch "Blindfold chess (invisible pieces)" to no.

Blindfold mode is usually used to practice your memory skills in chess.
