My rating now shows as provisional, despite having played over 1600 games in Rapid. The only thing I can think of is I've dropped in rating points over the last month from around 1300 to 1150.
It looks fine to me.

Yeah, it only was that way for a day, then showed my normal ranking. There's probably been too much variance in my play since I'm working on a new (for me) opening.
No, if it really displayed provisional to you, then it was a bug. Your rating was stable all the time.
Rating deviation only has to do with the amount (or lack) of recent games, not with what moves and openings you play.
I once believed that such a change would be a bug; but if each game is treated as a separate rating period and the hidden volatility term skyrockets, maybe RD of an active player could increase? But Glicko-based rating systems generally don't treat each game as a separate rating period.
