If you don't want to support checkers then don't :) No one's asking you too. Some do like checkers so just leave them be. Also, about the web design being copied from Lichess, Thibault seems pretty happy about it:

Lichess is open source and can be copy-pasted as anyone likes. Noone can oppose this. Also, if making a chess site into a draughts site is easy, go make one, don't insult peoples work. What you are doing in this thread is bad behavior and literally gatekeeping. Lichess itself allows forking and doing something different with the site, but you don't? huh.

That's kinda the point of lichess vision and open-source. If we have something great other can use that to make great things. And then we can borrow something from them that our users might like. lidraughts.org has lichess blessing. We are rooting for them.

well i understand darksoul when he/she said checkers were meh.
the game is too rigide for me.

if lichess is ok with the site being copied then so i am...but don't expect me to play there
