Question about Copyright when creating a study

Hello LiChess,

I started creating a study of Kasparov on Fischer (from My Great Predecessors Part VI, which I have a hard copy of) and I'm wondering if I am allowed to publicly post the study to LiChess so others who may not own the book can get something out of it. The comments I provide to the LiChess study are Kasparov's comments line by line from the book. Is this allowed as long as I am clear up front that everything provided comes from Kasparov (which I am)?

Thanks!

Showing the games is generally considered to be fine (chess moves can't be copyrighted, see WCC vs. chess24 from a few years ago), sharing the annotations verbatim would probably not be fine, since that's considered a creative work akin to a novel or a poem or what have you. I'm not a lawyer, but this is my general understanding. I have a lot of qualms with the way copyright (and IP law in general) works, and I don't like it either in a lot of cases.
