Again, I think that for casual games you should be able to click a checkbox that lets you avoid playing players with a provisional (?) rating.
Every day I am matched against people who absolutely never play rated and have intentionally low provisional scores to troll players with less experience. These players have very high win percentages because all they do is play against newer opponents.
Sometimes I enjoy playing against higher rated players and I seek them out intentionally; but running into these trolls is super annoying and it happens quite frequently.
What good is the system for +/- in casual if you can’t choose to avoid playing provisionally rated players? And why is there any resistance at all? (spoiler: because people like doing it)
Casual play would be improved in quality if you could ensure you were playing against someone close to you in actual rating based on the system already in place.
