Marvel vs Star Wars

Which movie series do you prefer? Explain why.

If you don't know what Marvel and Star Wars are, just pick one based on the cool names :)

MARVEL = Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk/Bruce Banner, Dr. Strange, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, etc.

STAR WARS = Master Yoda, Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin/Luke Skywalker, Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, Leia Organa.
Definitely Marvel!! In my opinion, I think Star Wars has been doing worse and worse after George Lucas sold it to Disney. Basically all of the movies after the Last Jedi movie have been about the rebels fighting the Imperial Army and then fleeing to another place while Marvel has a variety of different topics.
No true Star Wars fan would mention 3 characters from the new movies. No true Marvel fan would abstain from mentioning Marvel's best superhero. The initial post saddens me. I therefore choose to pull a Switzerland on the issue.

You also forgot to mention the hero of the Star Wars franchise: Wedge Antilles
Marvel by far. Spent hours reading them as kid and still remember them fondly. After the initial Star Wars trilogy, its all fluff and poof.
Your exclusion of Wedge caused me to rage so hard, I wrote a few paragraphs about it.
(The following is an excerpt):
Apparently, Star Wars nerds have not been doing there job. People still keep talking about how the hero is either some lame dude who got his hand chopped off in a game of Family Feud by his robot dad, or some lady who... actually, does that lady in the new ones even have a backstory? I watched Episode VII in theatres, and I still don't know what her deal was. But I digress.
The real hero of the franchise is Wedge Antilles. AKA the guy who managed to take down the NASA Fascists and their evil Wizard dude and their EPCOT ball-laser thing without the use of space voodoo. He just went in, flew his plane, and kicked [censored]. Remember who first took down the Mecha-camels in episode 5? Hint: it wasn't the one armed dude who totally just got back from being owned by the archnemesis of Yukon Cornelius.

I was ten when Star Wars started in '77. The two hours watching in the theater then were inexpressible joy for me. I was soon hoping the technology portrayed in the movie would be accessible in my lifetime.

In intervening years since, I have dropped in and out of Star Wars. I am much more into Marvel now. A favorite Marvel scene of mine, forgive me the title escapes me, is when six of the Avengers were fighting back to back in the streets of New York - just - like - in - the - Marvel - books - they published in the 70s.
Marvel obviously! What sort of question is this? Every Star Wars movie has been slightly more of a disappointment from the previous move since move VI or so (I dont know exactly when that started... but still).
