Perhaps Lichess would be willing to implement bughouse, if they see how many People, that would be willing to be a patron if such happend.
Just respond in this forum to I would or such. So it will be easy to Count how many that are willing. Please do not use this post as a Place to chat.
What the hell is with people posting "Implement this, and then I'll donate"? You're the second one this week. It's like saying, "Right now, your service is shit, and I'm not giving you a penny. And if you don't do the thing I'm begging for, I'm still not giving you a penny. But if you do implement my thing, I'll deign to send a pittance your way."
A fresh-out-of-school programmer with bad grades is paid about $60000/year, or about $30/hour. That same lousy programmer will require well over 100 hours to implement your game. You gonna be the new $3000-level patron? Frankly, I'd be beyond shocked if a mere $3000 would be enough to convince one of the devs to be your dancing monkey. I doubt you'd get it for under $10k. I do this kind of work freelance; I'd laugh at you if you offered under $25k, and we'd negotiate up from there.
Seriously, requesting a feature is fine. Dangling intangible cash deliverable upon implementation of a feature is flat-out rude. You like Lichess? Donate! Then try to drum up support for your feature without being a douche about it. The way to convince somebody to develop something is to convince them that the users want it, and that it's good and useful; you need all three.

I do like Lichess and yes I do think its a great site, however there are many People here who do miss a bughouse feature, and wouldnt it be a win win situation if it would cause more members to be patrons? I my self would be more willing to be a patron if bughouse would be implemented, and yes I do not think Im alone. Not sure why you start talking numbers either. I think many People would be patrons for a long time hence the Money would be paid back easily. If you find this rude fine, I did not post this to please you. Besides 60k a year is nothing to brag about.
I'll throw another $1 into the bughouse bounty. It's now at stunning 2USD. Someone better claim it fast.

I think you are going about it the wrong way. Maybe potential donations could be motivational, but I highly doubt it. In my eyes it has the opposite effect.
Variants at the moment might not be popular enough to warrant another one.

Yeah. I am with you that bughouse is an awesome and fun variant. However, implementing it comes with a cost.

If one has spare money, they can pay for programmers that fork Lichess and implement bughouse functionality.
