Global Warming

Well, this is a global topic, and one day or another, someone will have to solve this problem.

I've been a radical ecologist on my 15's and a skeptic on my 25's, so any opinion is acceptable...

Things that I've found out during that time:

1. The Arctic Ice Shelf is really melting...
2. The sea will not increase by 60 meters until 2100, like it was preached in 2005.
3. A solution is not extremely urgent, but it is necessary, and the sooner we start to work on it, the better...
4. Methane's half life is 10 years, so it's not a big concern...
5. CO2 from the air drops into the Ocean, and it decreases it's PH.
I think Lichess is a perfect example of how humans can cooperate to create something for everyone, so why can't we discuss global warming in here? (:

Nobody has to solve this problem. As a matter of fact, it looks as if nobody will solve third problem.

We're nearing the top of the roller coaster. Yee‐haw mothrrfuckers!
I agree that it looks like nobody will solve the problem, but the problem needs to be solved.

Our individual efforts are like a grain of sand on a beach. All of us need to come together, which is notoriously difficult.
