Match kotov_Syndrome vs getnoff

Result: 5.5 - 1.5

Winner: kotov_Syndrome

and wolf, don't forget to fix our usernames on the brackets page, thanks.
I don't know how it could happen. Pepsi and I are better than our opponents but we lost. I even don't have an intention to continue this championship.
Good game... it was very close and maybe could have gone either way, but don't complain that you are better if you lost over 10 games in long time format.

I don't know your regular username so maybe I don't have as much information as you, but if anything that only gave you an advantage when preparing for our games.

It is double elimination so you still have the loser's bracket to prove yourself again and I wish you good luck in doing so.

A couple other notes:

1. I blundered easy wins (mates in 5 moves or less) to you multiple times, so it may have not even ended as close as it was: lichess.org/4ht6FmOd/white#38

2. I almost always play blitz or bullet instead of long time format, and even lobbied for a shorter TC because I don't normally have the time or patience for long games outside of a special tournament like this. That said, it is definitely a different game with this element of time pressure removed and I may even be a better player in this context so you must evaluate ability differently.
I have a positive score vs you on main, but today you played harder than always and used lines which you didn't use before in our games. I remember that you was often doing something else and distracting during games, so you looked easier, and it's even like a sort of sandbagging. But ok, anyway I'm really bad.
Here is my two cents. Magnus is a really strong player and doesn't rely on the flag to get the win. He can win in longer TC's. Bullet tactics don't work in longer time controls. I play a pretty bad line against him in bullet just because I know what his moves will be and after the first move its not so bad. In a longer match neither one of us would play it. He actually has 69 flags on me but only leads by 41 games.

Honestly, I consider us really even. Either of us can go on a good win streak but it usually evens out. (Bad days, misclicks, distracted)

Same with you though TheBigAlt. Either of us can go on a win streak against the other but it'll even out in the next series usually. When you can flip a coin and pick a winner that way, its even.

I had a bad showing because I was missing easy moves and I was overthinking some stuff. Not to take away from Agaliana though, she is really good and deserved to win it. Even if I was playing better she could have still beat me.
@TheBigAlt Ehh. Anyone can lose a series, I don't have an excuse, my only excuse is Falcon played better than me this series. The strongest of players can lose to the weakest of players - 2200s+ aren't invincible. MagnusXL and you are similar in strength imo, I can't say who is for certain and playing differently isnt "sandbagging" idk if I read your message wrong. Also you still have a chance in the losers bracket to get to the 4th round and be one of the 8 Candidates. :) Gj @MagnusXL
@PepsiNGaming
Magnus played not only differently, this match was the strongest perfomance by him which I've ever seen cause when he wasn't concentrated during our games he was easier.
I don't know but maybe I won't continue participating here at all cause I don't want to lose to someone else. In tournaments it doesn't matter if you lose even 6 games in a row but here every single game is important. It's too nervous.
And if I don't participate I'd like wolf to delete my name from final standings (if it's posible ofc).
