Opponent leaves the game early, then they're playing a second game

Why is that possible? I'm sitting there waiting for the time to go down, but I go to their profile and see they're playing a new game. Seems weird.
Yes, years ago it was the case that it was impossible to do this. I can't think of any reason why it should have been changed. It's very annoying.
This should not be prohibited for several reasons: If someone wants to play 2 games at once its their right, no skin off your back. Secondly I had an instance where i started another game mid game bc my opponent dragged out a dead draw for 10 mins or so, if I had no ability to start a new game this genius would have wated a lot of my time or stolen my victory.
@Morozov -- On the flip side, I had (many) instances in which my opponent would run down their clock on me after they blundered badly, and while I was waiting to be able to claim a victory, they nonchalantly started another game. Not cool! :(

Imho, when you are in a game you should NOT be allowed to start another. Simuls are the exception to this, of course.
Letting time run on a objectively lost game should result in a ban or a loss unless you play a cheater, but who cares just ignore that nonsense.

Absolutely not. If you want to play more than one game, start a simultaneous.

That's part of the game.

Such a feature (don't resign, leave and start another game) produces and protect abuses. It must be turned off.
