Hi all,
Today APU_1 was marked on lichess as having used computer assistance. Because of this he has been forfeited from the tournament. I have over-turned his most recent result against onubense accordingly.
This is an unfortunate first in the history of the AWC and especially shocking that it concerns a long time member of the atomic community. Hopefully it's an issue that we won't see affect the tournament again.

APU_1 have a lot of accounts
Its impossible that i have used computer assistance when i dont have used it. Even so, i have seen my games and its obvious that i didnt use it in any game, with mistakes, blunders and big mistakes.
Moreover i lost some games and draws that computer said i won easily but im not perfect and i had mistakes.
I dont understand anything, i dont know if everything is because i have won Onubense and he was number 1, but is a shame this. I have never used computer assistance, i dont have any program in my computer and i have played atomic chess for more than 10 years with until 2830 in buho when it didnt exist anything about assistance.
Im angry and fed up right now and i only can think that organization didnt want my victory. Its disgusting this for me, for tounament and for fair game, thousands of games in atomic chess against best players in the world, winning many times since years ago and now i have to read this... I cant believe it
Furthermore, im spanish like Onubense and i can show my level on live even travelling to his city to play. This is a shame, but i cant allow this words to me when im totally sure about my games...
And yes, i had anthonypower1, anthonypowereturns and apu1 and everyone can see my games for years winning Onubense or Tipau sometimes... I closed my accounts because of like many players, this can be addicted...
Well since lichess did set the mark, there is nothing to argue here i guess. But you can contact contact@lichess.org and argue there.. Sure its possible there was a mistake made (and I hope there was), but as long as you are marked as a cheater there is no way to let you play on the WC.
I have just written to Lichess because they have not written anything about this... Thanks Iubar for the advice

I am also confused if my matches with APU_1 was also cheated ?
I havent cheated any game and its easily recognizable watching all the games and matches. I cant understand how is possible that nobody is able to realise it.

In all fairness, I had a look at some of APU's past games and I dont think he cheated? His games after the onubense match included 10 games with Natso (in which he went 5-5, mainly trading white wins) and the weekly atomic arena in which he had a 84% winrate and performed a little under his rating?
And to my belief he has been a strong atomic player for a while, so surely the man has some arguments for him playing well???
But since lichess did mark his account I am sure there is a reason, but from my eye it looks like the man is innocent.
