Yet another "conversation" with a believer where the believer is not listening but only preaching. It is understandable considering that listening might make them question their religion. Still it amazes me how dogmatic some can be. Dogmatism kills thinking and makes you blind to other worldviews.
@BlackBishop9319 you can bring forth how many facts you like and interpret them as proofs. Remember however that
1) your proofs could equally well support some other religion
2) basically you can interpret any fact to support the idea of some unobservable, supernatural cause
Eg. Have you noticed how some pasta resembles dna? That's because the dna was created by a flying spaghetti monster.
That's about how ridiculous your "proofs" sound to anyone not sharing your need to believe.
3) you are referring to facts that you know only because of science. It's contradictory to praise science and thank it for its results, yet try to fight its method and applause thinking that disrespects scientific curiosity and humility.
4) there's some arrogance in demanding for the "first reason" that would explain everything, and yet refuse from explaining how then did your god come to be. A wild card that wins all the games. It's ok if you want to play cards but not if you want to have a conversation about the nature of the reality.
