Any coin collectors or experts I could use some help.

So I have a United States mint proof set 1990 , but the thing is in my set the penny is the 1990 error without the mint mark under the date. All the 1990 sets I looked at have the mint mark and I found the 1990 error penny by itself but I have yet to find another set that contains this error penny in it. I only started looking though. Any thoughts? @Grandmaster_Garren
Wow! That's an impressive find! The 1990 no s mintmark is valued at over 4000 dollars. It would definitely be worth more in the original mint proof set rather than separate!
It is pretty exciting! I've only just started going through everything, another one I'm having trouble finding is a silver mercury dime with a date error. The date on this mercury dime is missing the last digit 197? and it almost looks like the date was stamped at a slight angle towards the end it leans down a bit. It is in plastic but has a lot of corrosion. I did read to never polish them or the value goes down.
I saw go to your local coin shop ask them for advice and verify at other coin shops.
I have to put the photos on imgur before I can post them here then I'll send you a picture. Probably tomorrow though. There are plenty more I'll share here to when I get to it. Thank you again the information in your first post about the red book ect.. was very helpful. @Grandmaster_Garren thank you all.
@Kanaan92 have the collection valued by a reputable dealer for insurance purposes. Definitely NEVER try to clean up any old coin in a collection. That goes for any other type of antique / collectible. If you really want it done, always pay a professional restorer to do it. Money well spent. Make certified copies of any documentation the coin collection may carry. For a 1000 coin serious collection you can safely estimate $100 per coin average.
@Grandmaster_Garren okay I had that dime wrong with the date I think it is 191? I haven't found any more like this yet here is a picture:

@bunyip #18 Yes. A lot of what I inherited I found others selling them on Amazon/Ebay between $100 to $15,000. I know that I'm potentially looking at a 6 figure profit and it's all rather sudden to me so I'm definitely going to take my time and do my homework on it. I think I will follow the above advice too and keep a selection for the potential of future values.
