Is everyone drunk today??

Right, drinking the shot is part of the move, before you press the clock. I'm pretty sure that's somewhere in USCF's monolith of a rulebook...
So then, if you drank too much and can't drink anymore does that mean you can't capture? XD

That would kinda make chess a drinking contest :)
I don't get drunk, I have a high tolerance.

To the guy that asked if you can legally be drunk at 18, technically you can be drunk, you just can't consume it or buy it until 21. In pretty much every state the law for buying or consuming is 21, though in Puerto Rico this age is lowered to 18.

There are a few exceptions, such as in Arizona, drinking under 21 can be permitted for religious or medical purposes. Yes, for religious or medical purposes.

So, go to Arizona and call yourself a "Dionysian" who is using it to lower diabetes risk and blood pressure...
@Toadofsky

Imagine this... White has checked black's king, and black's only way to stop the check is by taking the checking piece... But black can't drink a drop more; it's checkmate!
drinking alcohol is very bad for your chess performance! make sure you approach the games soberly and refrain from drinking alcohol until AFTER the games have finished
I'm appalled.
There once was an age, a far better age than this here age, when the noble game of drinking was treated with the respect it deserves.
To see it being dragged through the chess set like this is a new low, where I honestly believed we'd reached rock bottom by now. Horrible.
