Left handed Chess player vs Right handed Chess player, is our thinking different ?

@dboing I agree , there's all kinds of handedness to varying degrees , i myself am left handed yet if i played golf i would prefer using my right side while using the clubs etc (and have in the past).

But as for Chess, i'm not sure if there is a difference in the way one goes about thinking in the game due to being left or right handed.
But as you allude to in your post , maybe no ones fully one or the other or anything in between.
I am ambidextrous, using both as hands as needed in the current situation. I can play racket sports with equality. However, as MrChess78 pointed out i find it difficult to eat with the knife in the right hand hand and fork in the left. I cannot explain this except to state that it just 'feels wrong, sort of weird in a way.' I was not taught to eat this way (not that i remember) but just naturally picked up the knife and fork this way.
As a point that may be of interest my mother and grandmother were left hand dominates.
@clousems Thank you for reply to post, I'm fortunate that i too have both hands and i hope everybody else has two , preferably a left and right.
@Bryn57 Thank you for reply to post , i was hoping that someone ambidextrous would also post on here, i'm interested to know if you feel it helps you in your chess play, being ambidextrous , or whether you feel it doesn't make any difference at all ? i realise it's not a simple question to answer as there are so many other questions that arise from answering this one.

@h2b2 Yeah , there's always going to be questions about handedness etc, that's the main reason i thought i would just ask people directly for their opinion on the subject (mainly directed towards Chess play), as everyone's opinion is equally valid.
"Yes, some people are forced to eat the right handed way with knife in the right hand fork in the left, i too eat this way despite being left handed although i wasn't suppressed."

Not chess, but i also asked myself about that for ages, but i was feeling lucky, left hand fork is natural for me as being used for fine motor skill (i don't know what's fine there), but cutting using the strength in my right arm (which would feel weirder on the left). So it may be that eating depends on where the force is (not Yoda's), or if you need a forceful fork. I may be drifting here...

@h2b2 thanks for the link

if you are a good player, you are a good player. If you are a bad player, you are a bad player. With those two maxims in mind, your handedness is of no relevance. BTW, I'm am a Kitter. . .
i have a friend that is left handed...and i always win with him...so after a lot of game a can say i'm pretty sure right handed persons are stronger players
