I'm done with chess. I'm simply too retarded for this game.

@pionGris "#12 is #11's perfect exemple". No, I'm not. (Not in this case).

This post is that kind of thing we always do when we ask, "I want to eat chocolate" or "Should I do this" or "Should I do that". These people are wanting to be comforted with phrases like "don't do this, you are strong, you must insist" ... Nonsense ... being tough and not giving what they want makes them listen more to themselves and find out what they really want ...

Also, most of the time those people has already made his decision ...
The thing is, you have to learn from your losses, but you have to hate losing as well. Learn from losing so you don't have to keep losing, and if you quit so early on, you won't make it that far.
You are done with chess, but is it done with you? I have quit a few times, frustrated at my lack of progress, but I found out I was truly addicted, so I need to keep trying to play better, because I am going to play, like it or not. If you can quit, good for you.
What are we 1200 rated bugmen/women supposed to do then. OP is 1600 something classical rating
Everyone just enjoy the game!

It is what is. Don't worry about winning, losing progression. Leave that up to the wannabee Masters who struggle for a job that doesn't even pay.

Just have fun and learn through trial and error. And if you don't learn, so what, it's no more than a computer game.

No on cares about your COD / Fifa / Fortnite stats. No one cares about chess. Just play for fun.
Absolutely agree with comment 27, there is no need to be good in chess unless you hope to become pro, which would be great struggle unless you are gifted with great memory. Most people never become pro and nowadays you need to start as kids otherwise you can forget about it. I Don t understand people that hire expensive coaches just to get perhaps a little bit better.
Because sometimes growing in skill in a hobby adds to the fun of said hobby. You could suck at a sport and still play it but why criticize someone wanting to play it better?
