I'm not getting any better!!

Two years ago I started playing seriously chess. I wasn't very satisfied about my studies, and I really put much effort in playing a lot of matches and improving.
Sure I did improve, but the funny thing I found out is that I really got better when I stopped playing for a while and caring about the rating.
Anyway speaking about pure chess, you should start playing longer games, and analyzing every match first alone, than using Stocfish (or better, being helped by a stronger player)
Try to Convert to Islam. Free your mind.. That might give bonus to your karma
Nobody is good enough to finish with higher score than Magnus Carlsen in titled bullet arena. He will always be the best no matter how hard others try to be better than him. I believe everyone has their own individual best chess strength they can achieve, no matter how much effort they put into improving their chess. There must be some people who are not good in chess and will always play very badly no matter what. These people can be very good in other things.
Well, if you are 10 it takes you 100 hours, with 20 1.000h, with 30 10.000h and so on. We‘re talking of exposure to serious interactions with chess which should be to a big part offline.

So some hundreds hours of fun blitz at 34 is ... close to nothing.
100 hours at blitz is worth close to nothing at any age.
Playing slow time control and thoroughly analysing of your lost games is what makes you stronger.
At New Years Eve i made a plan:
"I am going to get better at chess by - at the very least - 1 ELO."
And to make this wish into a serious commitment, i added:
"If i fail to reach that goal by 31.st of march, i am going to face SERIOUS personal consequences:
In that case, should it occur, i am going to do 5 push-ups ... in maximum one week only."

And should that not prove my willingness, i am going to include worldwide consequences instead, like "if the climate changes, i will become even stronger ... "

;-)
Nowadays there’s hardly any GM who doesn‘t practice most time by playing blitz. I regard it as a fantastic training method to train various phases of games. All GMs confess that nowadays.

Only batshit-insane Fischer and concrete-skull Botwinnik are cited normally who regard Blitz as the root of all evil.
Vladimir Kramnik: "Playing rapid chess, one can lose the habit of concentrating for several hours in serious chess. That is why, if a player has big aims, he should limit his rapidplay in favour of serious chess"
Watch chess videos on youtube and try guess the moves for both sides.
