Chess=life

I started playing chess last year, before then I detested this game. The first thing I noticed is the incredible resemblance between the way you move your pieces and the way you behave in life. That's why chess managed to fascinate me. Aggressiveness, caution, fear, imagination, speed, i (we?) play chess in the same way i play my life.
Think this is a somewhat spurious correlation.

Dr. John Nunn: „Chess, music and maths are self-contained systems that require no experience of life to master.“
if chess is life, what are the pieces?
If chess represents life God is moving the pieces
In fact, like a GM God knows the endgame from the opening :)
Chess is a matter of life and death. It is a battle where in order to fight this battle you must be willing to do anything to win the battle. Chess is life. Your pieces are your warriors, your pawns are your soldiers, your king is your priority. Each piece has it's own meaning and reason it is needed in the battle.
@safecar that's correct chess is like an ancient battle where you have just to win or die. Or an animal fight to conquer the right for coupling.
But, you can play a real battle once in a life, or a few if you are brave and lucky. Playing chess you can play thousand of times this battle, so the mechanism of win/die in chess it's just symbolic, but can led to selfknowledge. That's more important cause in our life, thank's God, we don't have to fight or die every day, but we have to do a million things where selfknowledge help us to live better.
