We don't and can't combine so many things because of specialization. People in a society are like cells in a body. Each part does a specific thing. Eyes can see, they can't hear, and so on and so on.

Life is the arbiter of "the total score".
I'm good at chess, not so good at Chinese chess, world class at origami, good at tennis, can't drive a car, suck at physical strength, etc, etc . . . We use the SUM of our abilities to rise as high as we can in society and to get as much as what we want to get.

The BEAUTY of chess is that you can deceive even when "the cards" are "face up"!
