Hi, I'm trying to find the source of a quote for a chess rule of thumb that goes something like, "a good move has at least two strong ideas." Any idea who said this or where it came from? Or was I dreaming?
Bobby Fisher, maybe.
He was young, creative and valiant.
He was young, creative and valiant.
I like to try to do at least two things whenever I make a chess move. I never heard it before but I made it up myself.
Nice, it must have been you I was thinking of :)
I never said that to anyone so it can't be a quote of mine. I wouldn't be surprised if a LOT of people said it tho, because it is a "common sense" type thing
One strong idea is generally plenty enough for me.
Just checkmate him. Its easy
@Bigbossbillg it's easy for you when you cheat.
@FireIslandGerbil Checkmate is always easy. If he does not castle its obviously easy to checkmate. If he castles, just checkmate him. Takes longer but works too
@Bigbossbillg Then why did you use an engine if it's so easy to checkmate everyone?
