Should I allow takebacks?

Hello Lichess,
Mouse slips are not a rare occurrence. I've made a number of them myself, like this one:

I don't generally ask for a takeback, since I figure clicking the right square is the whole point of playing online. My opponents don't feel the same way, though.

More than a few players have argued with me/called me unsportsmanlike for not giving them a takeback after a mouse slip. Here are my 3 reasons for not giving it:

1. It's impossible to be sure it wasn't just a really dumb move, not a slip
2. Like I mentioned before, clicking the right squares is part of the game. If you have a problem with slips, shouldn't it be up to you to steady your hand?
3. Even when I ask, my opponents never give me takebacks

Is this reasonable, or am I being rude?
I recommend to cut out such unprofessional things. Nobody is helped. I regard it as a beginner’s quirk.

If I have won a game with a takeback allowed deep inside I would know that I am poor loser in fact.
Its perfectly fine if you don't. Just disable it in the options, that way your opponent can't say a word.

I personally have takebacks enable for casual games only. I've ran into some who don't even allow that though.
Just switch it off. Enabling takebacks only leads to disputes.
If you are playing rated games, don't do take backs either way.

If you are playing casual games however... Loosen up a bit more on them. It's just for fun, why not?
The reasons you give are totally reasonable.

In my opinion, the takeback feature at least needs an option to enforce the touch-move rule. Otherwise, it's too easy to abuse..
Imagine a takeback in real life. Its impossible, thats why you should not allow them.
After playing on lichess for a while, I have a set of principles for takebacks. If the slip is obvious (say instead of O-O, my opponent plays Kf1), I would usually allow the takeback. If the takeback comes after a dubious blunder, I usually decline unless I'm playing casual with someone I know. I have come across opponents who give takebacks for slips and I always thank them since your average opponent will most likely decline. However I don't blame them.

I agree with @imminentD3ATH that placing pieces accurately is part of the game but being a nice guy when it comes to obvious slips will make both you and your opponent's day a little bit better.
Those who ask for takebacks should rather enable the available move confirmation setting. That way they will never ever suffer from a mouse slip.
@Sarg0n
Well, I suppose that it all depends on why you are playing in the first place. If it is just all about results and gaining rating points, then indeed, there's no point in allowing takebacks.
On the other hand, if one feels that the most important thing is the game itself, then a takeback for an obvious slip can potentially allow one to pursue a fascinating and tense position which would otherwise be ruined.
