I typically rate about 1300-1400 in chess but can't find anyone to play in that range. Do you have to be over 1500 in order to play here? When you click on the members/players page it only shows the guys rated over 2000. Where do you find all the lower rated players? I can't seem to create a correspondence game 800-1499.
My rating goes up and down...more down than up lately. My classical rating is a little bit below 1500, which seems to be the starting point here (starting point meaning everyone starts there provisionally). I haven't tried correspondence chess, except as a practice mode with a less experienced player. I have no rating in it. I would be happy to play a few games with you and see how they turn out. My U.S. Chess Federation rating is really low, but I think it is on a different scale. I am only rated 1082 in the USCF...

When you issue your challenge you get to specify the rating range of opponents say 1250-1450.
They might have (?) after their rating

Top left of the screen, select play, select create a game
Select rated or casual and also select your opponents rating (800-2900) using the slider, if you want to play 1300-1400
