Forgot what line this is in the pirc. Does anyone know? I am black.

I used 2 and a half minutes on my clock, my opponent timed out halfway through the middle game.
It is pirc which transposed into sicilian dragon
Not sure, @tpr

I don’t understand those lines with either color, in fact no one I know. ;)

You take on f7, Ng5-Ne6-c7-a8, but the Knight is trapped and it is a R+n*P versus BN story.

I wouldn’t call it „winning“, maybe for an engine but it proves difficult to grasp for humans.
It is Rpp vs BN and should be enough to win with best play from both sides.
Black's king can no longer castle, so he has trouble activating Rh8 as well.
For course with fast time control it is usually the stronger player that wins such unbalanced positions from either side.
Agree with Sarg0n here. When i enter this into the fish it will have put its pieces on good squares around move 35 and shows "0.0".

That said, 2.d4 is more flexible. On 2..Nd7 white can then choose between 3.c4 or 3.f4, which are both promising setups. Or he can continue like in the game, 3.Nf3.

4.Be3 also looks a bit premature. There may be better squares for that bishop. Instead 4.Bc4!, setting up the trap 4...Bg7? Bxf7! (this time really winning easily). And 4...Ngf6 Bxf7!? looks like a better version for white than with Be3 and Bg7 included.
yeah, ok, white has a clear advantage. "+/-" Winning with perfect play.
Those positions are never clear, at least not to me. In the following game I had to evaluate 5. Bg2, I went for 5. e3 eventually in that classic otb game.

What do you think? Try without a engine!
