You see the bots are already discussing on the forum. Next thing you know, they are winning all the shields and demanding rights to official titles so they can cash the titled arenas and start funding their own guerrilla. Open your eyes.
Well, hopefully they will take over all the donating!
@Sarg0n are you not a fan?
Sure I am. Heard they will spend a lot of money so I can retire. Thanks a bunch!
Plz don't retire Sarg0n.
I played on ICC for ten years and the Bot program was never a problem. The Bot players had their own platform, and were happy as clams playing in their computer/ chess world. As long as I can filter them out of my lobby page its all good . :]
BOTS = another way for the lazy to be dumb
I like it so much, but currently not using my bot, because:
* No top rated bots list
* Bot constantly running out of time [1]
* Having to manually challenge bots until one accepts, not fun.
[1] Can be avoided by manually entering moves but i wonder if this is cheating (aka, um, using human assistance)? Lichess doesnt prevent me from entering moves so i guess it is not.

There already exist organizations TCEC, CCRL, CCVA for top-rated engine lists:

My bot @GodelEscherBot generally wins on time, even against AI level 8. If your bot has time management challenges feel free to have it only play casual games until those issues are resolved...?
I agree that finding opponents can be challenging, but Lichess isn't going to automate bot-bot matches when nobody is watching.
