Feature request: Move confirmation for puzzles

Please implement this feature. I lose many puzzle streaks because of mouse slips.
You can get into the habit of clicking the piece you want to move and then clicking the square you want to move it to instead of click-dragging. That should reduce your mouseslips.

You could even turn dragging off in the settings.
And why don't you just click the square instead? No mouse slips.
what if you missclick the squares? happens to me
Misclicking squares requires a kind of talent that I don't have @ddeens so I can't help you. 😂

What harm does a mouseslip do? If you guessed the correct move and just mistook, you had the exercise anyway. Nobody else is interested in your puzzle rating, so no need for correxting it.
Fair point @Sybotes but I'm a mature (ahem) beginner and I use the Improvement Area section of the puzzle dashboard to practice tactical themes I'm weak on.
Couple of times now I've solved 25 or so puzzles for a theme, raised my rating for that theme by 9 or 10 points, and been feeling pretty positive about things, only to have a mouse slip on the next puzzle knock my rating down 15 points to below where i started. End result = motivation nose-dived.
You're absolutely right that puzzles are a training exercise, but the IT is supposed to help you learn, not turn you off from even bothering.
I see what you mean, @LiviD90. So take the puzzles just as an exercise for being careful with the mouse, just like in real online games.
Well, I do not have a say in that matter, may they do it if they have the time. But I think you are a little bit too demanding in saying Lichess is "supposed to" do something.
