just to TORTURE me after I missed it because there was NO darn notification while it was going on my screen. At the same time if any of the people I've followed so much as fart, I get all these spam notifications I don't want. But nothing for something historic like this. Lichess , sometimes you let me down ;/
It was all over the sidebar on the main page for more than 24 hours. It's cool man - just watch the VODs of either chessnetwork or magnus himself and you'll be able to experience that comeback.
@thibault your site is incredible, for playing chess and interacting with the community but no offense, that doesn't mean I want to read your Facebook page??
@NoseKnowsAll There surely was no notifications on my sidebar and I can make the screenshots to prove it. Watching it in reruns is no where near as exciting as live.
I'm wrenched that I just missed such awesomeness. I feel like I jsut got punched in the stomach. But as always I still appreciate getting to use this site for free and all the work that goes into it.

The 15 streamers with the words "titled arena" in the header was a dead giveaway for me.
Lol. Ok, I get it so from now on I have to read the titles of every streamer just in case there is something historic going on that day.
Here's an idea, why not put the notifications of things I don't care about, like every time one of my friends makes a post or plays a game of chess etc on the twitter page because that's what twitter is made for, and put the notifications of really big important events in the side bar?? Just a suggestion.
I only noticed it because it was talked about on irc, so yes, that could have been promoted more, ads are not always bad, anyways thanks for all the cool stuff, it's just meant as feedback.

And watching it in videos is not nearly as good as watching it live. Correct on both counts.
I gotta say; I had absolutely no idea this was going on either; and I've been playing a LOT over the past 48 hours.
Dont usually agree with these types of posts but OP has a point here. Big events like this should be impossible to miss if our on lichess when its goin on.
