bullet chess

Is 70% internet connection and computer speed, 20% mouse quickscoping abilities, 10% survival on board skillz until u can flag opponent.

YE or NA?

No. Bullet is maybe 65% "surviving" on the board/playing chess, 30% speed and 5% internet connection.
@Rrhyddhad

Easy to say that when you probably have less than 100 ping am I right?

Considering there is no compensation for latency here counts for a lot...
No, most games for me ends with checkmates on either side on the 1 0 level. If you have lag just play longer games, or increment! Hyperbullet for me is like that, but I think stronger player will disagree. It;s a lot of pattern recognition and quick reflexes

EDIT: and lag is accounted for, any latency you experience is usually also passed on to your unfortunate opponent!
@repetitaiuvant

Yea I think most of what you say is true however I disagree that the lag is accounted for from what I've experienced. Like even if im just pinging out the moves as fast as I can without regard for the game (also without premoves) I'll still only be breaking even with my opponent if that on time...
@freshestt There's lag compensation for up to one second. lichess.org/lag
But yes, if you lag more than that, don't play bullet. Your opponent doesn't want to play bullet to then wait forever every move for your connection to finally deliver the move. ;)
